Ashneer Grover Biography
Early Life & Education
Ashneer was born on 14 June 1982 in Delhi, India. He was brought up in a middle-class family, where almost everyone was working in different fields. However, there is not much information, but Grover’s father is an Accountant, and his mother is a Teacher. Alongside, he also has a younger sister named Ashima Grover. Since the beginning, he was a brilliant student and completed his 12th from a reputed school.
After 12th, Ashneer decided to not pursue CA like his father and thus, after securing rank 1,832 in IIT-JEE, he embarked on his BTech Civil Engineering course at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and secured 2nd rank in his department. Adding to Grover’s brilliance, he was one of the 6 students to get selected for a student exchange program at the Institute National des Sciences appliques de Lyon, France. In 2002, he moved to France and secured a Rs 5 Lakhs scholarship from the French embassy. Following the completion of his graduation, Ashneer joined IIM Ahmedabad in 2004 to pursue an MBA (Finance). Grover is currently 42 years old and stands 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Initial Career of Co-founder of BharatPe
After the post-graduation in 2006, he joined Kotak Investment Banking and completed 10 deals with a value of 3 billion dollars and left his job as Vice President in 2007.
