Dr. Siddhant Bhargava, who is also Alia Bhatt’s nutritionist, participated in Shark Tank India 4 to pitch their startup called InnerGize and finally won an offer of Rs 1 crore because of his innovative wearable devices which aid in bringing relief from stress & anxiety and enhancing productivity, and sleep. Was the path as easy as it looked for Siddhant Bhargava? No, it wasn’t an easy one, it was a journey full of obstacles and challenges.
When he was 20, Dr. Siddhant Bhargava’s life came to a crashing halt. He was diagnosed with Lupus, a disease-inducing immune response against healthy tissues. This resulted in hair and skin color loss, chronic pain, and many other problems that come as a side-effect of medications, including weakened immunity and massive weight gain. But he never allowed that to defeat him, instead, he turned it into a point of motivation, purpose, and strength.
He started ‘Food Darzee‘ because he found so many more people just like him were facing the same issues. This diet food delivery service became a big name among the public by high-profile clients like Alia Bhatt and Sara Ali Khan. Moreover, as Siddhant enjoyed professional excellence on the one hand, he faced another battle from which nobody could turn back – he was diagnosed with 2nd-stage thyroid cancer, which cannot be operated on.
Siddhant does not know how to give up – talk about his brave will. He came up with ‘InnerGize,’ a startup to help manage stress and anxiety. The company’s innovative wearable device stimulated the parasympathetic nervous system, thus relieving stress, and promoting productivity & sleep. This wearable device allows users to track their progress from headsets that monitor brain activity.
Showcasing his strength and resilience, Siddhant, along with his co-founders Shalmali and Mitansh ventured onto Shark Tank India 4 and presented their stress relief device valued at Rs 36 crore and seeking Rs 54 lakhs in exchange for 1.5% equity. After a few negotiations, they received Rs 1 Cr for a 4.2% equity.
Well, this is actually right: more difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. Dr. Siddhant’s ventures not only impact the victims but also are great inspirations for a lot of people to show inner strength in adversities and inject their lives with some purpose.
