Famous YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, who is also known for his family vlogging channel named Flying Beast, is set to feature in the recent season of Shark Tank. In a YouTube video, while talking about his whey protein business named Beast Life, he addressed the media reports claiming that he earns around ₹1 crore per hour through it. He even stated – even before the episode was aired, people started thinking that he earned this much.
In the statement, he said “People have started thinking that I earn Rs 1 crore per hour. That’s not how it works. It’s just the revenue, not money in the bank or money in the pocket. Adding further, he said – Best Life is a startup and whatever he and his CEO earn, goes back into the business. “Don’t believe everything you watch on Business channels or YouTube, understand how the internet works.
Addressing the claims that he went on the show for marketing and not for funds, he stated “I wanted both, marketing and money because you can’t run the business without them. We went for both, it’s not like we didn’t want the marketing. We certainly did. Even the biggest companies in the world also need marketing.
Further, he added having some “nok-jhoks” with some of the Sharks on the show, and that there will be enough “masala” for his fans in the episode. He also said he had no desire to go on Shark Tank and his wife, Ritu Rathee, even said too much was at stake if he brought Beast Life before the show. Taneja also said his CEO felt the move to Shark Tank would ultimately backfire in their face if the investors did not want their product.
Opening up about allegations of the makers of Shark Tank India 4, calling it “too much drama in their episodes,” said, “You have to understand that they are also running a business. They will follow the audience’s lead. As a start-up, we want marketing and money, and even the sharks on the show want something out of it.”. They know exactly what can go viral and what catchphrases or one-liners will make it to the top after four years of doing it.
Gaurav Taneja entered the show as one of his investors thought it would do him good to go on this show. He said his fans would watch his video on January 14 and the episode of Shark Tank India on January 15. Taneja further shared that he shot the episode in September and that it was interesting for him. He said he would love to discuss it in detail once it is released and watched by his fans.
